Let me start by telling you a little about myself....
My name is Heather (duh!) i currently reside in Bethpage NY ( long Island). If you are familiar with the area then you know there are many photo opportunities here! I have always loved to take pictures but it was always of friend and family. A few years back i got into birdwatching and started trying to get pictures of them. This was my first attempt at bird photography it was taken in my back yard with a little point and shoot...
I thought it came out great at the time lol then I started hunting for birds to photograph and my little point and shoot didn't seem to cut it. So about 2 years ago I upgraded to an Olympus evolt-500 LOVE IT!!!!! My pics come out great! I am just now starting to play with manual, but I still prefer auto...probably because its what I am used to! Now every weekend my husband and I go somewhere I can take pictures, I take it everywhere with me (just incase, you never know when you will need a camera!) so I went from dark little shots of my downy woodpecker to awesome pictures of lakes, sunsets and better pictures of my little bird friends :)
A few months back someone messaged me on facebook telling me how they loved my pictures and was wondering if I would sell her a few of them! I was so excited that someone thought that much of my pictures....after that I decided to see what i can do with this! lol I now have my facebook page, twitter page, selling photos on ebay and also i have a store through vendio. Hopefully I can do something with this!! I have other projects in the works as well like postcards, calenders, and a few other things I will keep to myself for now!
So i guess that's about it! I will be updating this with each outing and hopefully someone out there enjoys it!!!
